Unfortunately the pocket edition is notorious for friendly NPCs and pets disappearing when spawned by the player. It used to be an issue with my dog Nigel and his pups in the game. Frequent visits apparently help, but sometimes it simply isn’t worth the watch in the pocket editions.
I have several builds in my world that use villagers (trading area, iron farm, etc), however, over the past few weeks, i’ve noticed villagers are disappearing randomly, but it’s happening more and more. I’m playing version 1.10, All my builds are well lit up and secured from mobs and all villagers are trapped so they can’t just wander off.

2/3/2016 · Villagers do not despawn, period. It’s written into the code itself. There were several bugs that caused them to disappear, but those have long since been fixed even in the 1.9 snapshots. There are glitches that result in villager deaths or escaping into the wild, but they don’t just randomly get deleted because it’s their time to go.

This question is for Minecraft for the Switch, which runs Bedrock Edition. So the issue I am having is that my Villagers keep disappearing .
